Dell D630 + Windows 7 (Notebook Laptop Computer) 2.0 GHz CPU | 2 GB of Ram | 60 GB Hard Drive

Actual Dell D630 + Windows 7 (Notebook Laptop Computer) 2.0 GHz CPU | 2 GB of Ram | 60 GB Hard Drive review from user.
Perfect
Everything was as advertised, except the hard drive was larger (not complaining!). Shipped quickly. It looks almost brand new. Everything works. Very good battery life. Faster than I expected with only 2MB of RAM. I figured I'd buy more RAM given that it's Windows 7, but I probably won't need to. Great value for the price.

Awesome!
For only $269.99 this is a great computer that does everything you need it to do. Have in mind that the flashplayer doesn't work until you download it. This is very easy since links to download automatically appear.

I'd do it again...
I was hesitant to buy a refurbished product but so far I'm very happy with the deal I got (about $225) for the Dell Latitude D630. The top was a little scratched and the corner of the lid has a little piece broken off of it but I don't really mind. I didn't try using the DVD player for a few weeks and when I did, discovered it wasn't working. I contacted the seller today who promptly decided to send me a replacement drive. The included software is of questionable value. I've had a lot of compatibility issues b/t Microsoft Office and the installed Apache Open Office. Also, the installed security software is only good for 30 days so you'll need to purchase or see if you can find a decent free one. Still, I'm quite happy with this purchase and the integrity of the seller.

A Very Good Computer
A Very Good Computer

The computer comes with WINDOWS 8.0, but don't hold that against the computer. The unit works flawlessly, so far. Someone who has accumulated many basic keyboard and mouse skills throughout ownership through several generations of previous, less capable operating systems, as well as less capable computers, can compensate for this. Usually, I bypass what is 8.0's Start Screen on steroids, which by default begins when you start up a WINDOWS 8 cpu, and I toggle into Desktop to Computer. The computer has more than enough bells and whistles to please just about anybody, and it crushes a lot of other models at its price point.
There is scant documentation, and no system disc is enclosed in the tan colored DELL box, which is becoming the rule with new computer purchases everywhere (TWO STARS HERE). There is very little on the outside of the box to tell you that what is inside is very close to being a state of the art piece of computer equipment, a...

Dell Inspiron 17RV-5545 17.3
Enjoy using this laptop, switched from 7 yr old desktop. Bought this Dell for size of screen & keyboard--husband has large fingers. Other smaller keyboards too sensitive. We didn't want expensive touch screen. This keyboard easy to use, mouse pad works well, screen excellent pixalls & color, great price for quality product (so far). We had Windows7 so had to adapt to Windows8, different but easy to use, change always frightens folks but I like Windows8 so far. Has some software loaded we didn't need but computers are packaged that way. Comes with Windows security & free McAfee security. The Dell was easy to set up & configure, no book manual to store in desk since tutorial is loaded right up front for you. Dell weight is kinda heavy for back pack but great for lap, desk or sitting in bed. Speakers are ok but after market are better for music & video lovers. We didn't need large data storage so this Dell brings price down. Would buy again, BUT, we bought Square Trade warranty since we...

Great laptop for a great price
I had to make the difficult move from an old Toshiba laptop with XP to finding a new laptop that would have Windows 8. My husband and I have been very satisfied with this purchase in the couple months we've owned this computer. I like the large screen that is nicer on my eyes than others, which easily trigger migraines in me.

I won't go into technical details because I'm not a computer techie. I merely found some laptops that interested me, and I called the Amazon computer help desk for assistance in understanding which model best fit our needs. Imagine how impressed I was when the woman from Amazon actually recommended the cheaper model, since I'm nit a gamer, and the only added benefit from that model was in playing computer games.

So far, we love the computer and have not had any problems at all since we got it!

And how can you go wrong with this great price?

So far So good
I was able to easily upgrade to 8GB buying a single 4GB memory module for $40, and I found this laptop on refurb for about 330 with no problems at all. Plastic on back seems a bit flimsy, more like a hard black rubber, but it works. Easy if slow to upgrade to 8.1 and to fix the minor OS issues, the only issue I had was that WiFi was higher priority than Ethernet, this is a matter of moving the Ethernet network over the Wifi in network management. Like the big screen and higher resolution and low power CPU.

Very good
I've ordered this notebook on February. Very satisfied with It. One thing makes me annoying is the fan speed, but It is easly fixes by updating BIOS from DELL official web-site. Now there is no heavy fan speed! Just perfect!

Product is great however makes a lot of noise
I guess it is the fan in the computer. It makes a lot of noise. other than that it is great.

Fantastic Product!
Excellent Product! That's all I can say. Mine not as noisy as other reviewers have claimed theirs to be. Very quiet machine.

Actual Dell Laptop Latitude E6410 - Core I5 2.40ghz - 2gb RAM - 160gb Hard Drive - Dvdrw - Windows 7 Pro review from customer.
Awesome Laptop!!
I Needed to replace my 2006 Dell XPS M140 that I paid $2000 for when i purchased it brand new directly from Dell. I knew I didn't want to spend that amount again on another computer, but I also knew I wanted a better processor than I had in my XPS. I had heard about the Intel processor i3 and the raves about it, but I hadn't heard of the Intel i5 processor. While doing my diligent research for an economical laptop with a faster processor, I came across Data Sales Co.

Data Sales Co. had this Dell Laptop Latitude E6410 advertised for less than $200 with an Intel i5 processor!!. Initially, I was a little skeptical on the price and why it was advertised so low for being used. I did more research and found out that the Intel i5 processor was better than the Intel i3 processor, but the Intel i5 processor wasn't as good as the Intel i7 processors which are mainly used for gaming laptops. However, I couldn't find an Intel i7 processor laptop for $200.

I'm Lov'in This Machine!
I learned a few things about getting a refurb computer with this purchase (from Tampa Laptops) - got burned on my last refurb (purchased direct from Asus) which had a faulty motherboard and of course took a year to find out - did they know? Of course they knew. This time I took the time to find a highly rated refurber of top quality units, and then be willing to pay a little extra to cover the necessary added expense - and I'm very glad I did!

This unit came with 4gb ram instead of the listed 2 - that's not a complaint! That means I only need to upgrade the hd to make this a full machine. Less than a year ago, I bought another Dell refurb laptop - but while the unit has been fine, it came with Win 8, which I hated so much that I gave the machine to my wife, and I got this one primarily for the Win 7 Pro - what an absolute joy!

Just a note about Tampa Laptops' service - my unit arrived with a battery that wouldn't charge properly (hey, these computers are coming...

Glad I purchased Refurbished
Purchased this laptop (through Data Sales Co.) to replace my Dell Inspiron i3, which had a difficult time (kept freezing/lagging) running Home Building/Landscaping and video editing programs. I was a little reluctant to purchase this laptop due to the price being under $200, but I'm glade I decide to give it a try (saved myself between $400-$500 by going through here vs the Dell Refurbished Sales). One the reasons I went with the Latitude was that I need an easily customizable laptop since I'm in a IT class. One of the first things I did was drop 6 GB of RAM in, took me about 1.5 minutes to do (just remove 2 screws in the back and the back slides off). Next month I plan on adding a solid state hard drive.

Laptop came as described except mine had 3 GB of RAM instead of 2 GB and a 250 GB HDD instead of 160 GB. It was pleasant to open the laptop (Window 7 Pro) and not have to remove a bunch of junk applications that is bundled into to Home Editions of Windows 7. Even with only...

Actual Dell Inspiron i15RV-10000BLK 16-Inch Laptop (1.8 GHz Intel i5 3337U Processor, 4 GB Ram, 500 GB Hard Drive, Windows 8) Black Matte with Textured Finish review from customer.
I love it.
I was looking for the perfect laptop to replace my old Toshiba. This laptop works great, no complaints so far. The price for this laptop is actually a steal with how fast the processor is. My mom bought one as well (her first laptop). I will update my review later if any problems arise and/or if my mom has anything to add.

Pros: Boots super fast (like SUPER FAST), lightweight (I carry it to class with me), Windows 8 is actually very easy to use once you get the hang of it (even the most computer illiterate person could figure it out), I LOVE the number pad as well
Cons: None yet
Sound Quality: It's loud enough for a laptop. I actually find the sound pretty efficient, but don't expect any "super bass" or anything.

But once again, this would be the perfect laptop for you, especially if you don't want to go buy an expensive MacBook.

Good Deal
The computer feels solid. There's no latch to keep the screen down when it's close, but if you're careful that's probably not a big deal. Don't lift directly in the middle of the lid though, that's where the camera is. It does attract dust and fingerprints like a magnet, but whether you'll care or not is personal preference. According to the sticker on the front, it actively tries to run your battery in charge cycles to prolong life, which assuming they do a good job of it is an awesome feature. Just a note, you'll have to go into power options and click Dell Extended Battery Life options.

The first thing you should do after you've set up the computer, is restart and press F12 before and as the Dell logo is coming up. Then choose diagnostics and test the system thoroughly. It'll take maybe 30-40 minutes, but it's well worth it. Then go into the My Dell application and stress test it again. Then do it again once a week or so. Your goal is to either fry the thing,...

great
The first thing that you'll notice is that it's extremely lightweight and is very uncomplicated. This is something that my 87 year old mother-in-law would be able to use right out of the box. Since she's never used a computer before, that says a lot. Many of the everyday apps that you use on a daily basis, are preloaded into the device. It comes with things like YouTube, Gmail and other Google products, and there are literally thousands of free apps available. It starts up very quickly and according to Google, updates are installed automatically. I've found all applications to run smoothly and quickly.

Actual Dell Latitude D620-1.66 Laptop Wireless Computer review from customer.
Great Value for Refurbished Laptop
The laptop was in good condition when received. It was packaged appropiately to prevent damage during shipment. The length of shipping time was short between purchase and receipt. The surface was clean. They provided a recovery CD and adequate word processing / desktop publishing software. I would buy again from this supplier. The only complaint I have is that the internal wi-fi device was inoperative. That is why I give only a three star rating.

not satisfied
i was very happy at first with how easy it was to pick a product and pay for it, it arrived promptly and undamaged via us postal service. however, something was not right with the screen, i tried to contact the seller via email thru amazon just a couple days after receiving my laptop and he never replied. im stuck with a product that apparently has no warranty and i havent received any support from amazon.com or the seller. im not happy with my purchase.

nervous at first but it was PERFECT
I did allot of research on resfurbished laptops because i never bought one before but with limited amount of funds it was a promising buy for me. I never wright reviews but i figured if you are like me this would be some help for you. It is just like buying a brand new computer and i will never go back to buying brand new again. This is above and beyond what i expected. works perfect. I use it for the internet, music, ipod, writing resumes and more. it is perfect you will not be disappointed you went this route. i bought cricket wireless prepaid which is cheap but works great. Trust me i do not work for these people i am just an average 24 year old and this is the best thing i ever did!!!! so happy and you will be too!!

Charged up and energized!
I am glad I purchased a 9 cell Lithium-Ion Battery. It was well wrapped and packed in a bubble bag and in a box. I put it on my Dell 15 XPS L502X and is the best thing for it than the standard 6 cell type. The laptop last about 4 hours before needing to be charged again.

Very happy
This came as an actual Dell battery. I've been pleased with the result of the battery. Has fully charged and still works after 2 weeks with no drop in performance thus far.

So far so good.
I didn't want to waste time and money buying a sub quality cheaper battery that would only last a few months. The first one lasted about 3 years. Not sure if that is typical or not. This one is an official Dell battery. It's been about a month and it is still working just fine. Lasts about the same as the original and its much cheaper than buying directly from Dell.

Alienware 18 ALW18-2001sLV 18-Inch Gaming Laptop

Actual Alienware 18 ALW18-2001sLV 18-Inch Gaming Laptop review from customer.
Best Gaming Laptop!
This machine is awesome, got it in time to play Elder Scrolls online beta and it handled it beautifully, with no overheating.

Sturdy Unit with some flaws
I ordered my first unit and it was received with enought back light bleed around the monitor to make me gasp and instanly return. My second unit was DoA. My third unit has a very small amount of light bleed but not enought for me to notice other than when I am starting the unit up. At this price point I would expect a SSD however the drive that it comes with is decent. With no bloatware the boot times are pretty quick. I installed a new Samsung SSD and the installation was a dream. Its very nice that it comes with the physical OS disc and driver disc. That is not a very common option anymore. Overall I am satisfied with the device however I feel that Dell really needs to step up the Quality Control on units sent out the door.

Alienware 18 ( excellent )
Bought this for my son and he loves it no complaints. Works great and doeseverything he could want in a gaming computer. Thanks Amazon because of coarse it was priced right and could not perform any better.

Actual Dell Inspiron 15 i15RVT-3762BLK 15.6-Inch Touchscreen Laptop (Black) review from user.
Love this laptop -- great deal and great for Windows 8
I love this computer. Anyone familiar with Windows 8 understands the importance of a touchscreen. For the price, this computer is a great deal. Don't be swayed by the lack of reviews, similar models with slightly different model numbers are very highly rated. I like the chicklet keyboard. My only slight very minor complaint is no hardware volume control. I have recommended this laptop to 5 people so far and they are also very happy with it. Let me tell you this too -- Amazon amazed me with the turn-around time. Ordered it Wednesday at 3PM and I had it Thursday at 4 PM! Amazon Prime and UPS have their act together, that's for sure!! Overall, this is a great deal on a great laptop.

Love this computer!!
I purchased this computer during Black Friday week on Amazon for a really great price. I have owned Dell computers in the past and the majority of computers at work are also Dell so this was a no brainer purchase for me. The computer feels solid and the processor is fast. Wireless set up was easy, registering the computer was easy and updating to Windows 8.1 was easy. I have transferred hundreds of pictures and financial spreadsheets from my old computer and there were no compatibility issues. The touchscreen works great and the display is better than I expected. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this again and would definitely recommend to others.

Very good computer for its price
I ordered this computer for my 12 year old daughter. It ended up me using it most of time. We all love it. We have 2 other laptops (Toshiba and Acer) at home which were purchased with similar prices. This new Dell laptop is the best in term of speed and easy of use. Touch screen is definitely a plus!

Best Windows Laptop and Only Competitor to the Apple MacBook Pro Retina 15"
Ive owned this laptop for a little over a month now and I am very happy with it. In terms of specs this is currently the best windows laptop and only competitior to Apple MacBook Pro 15 inch. This laptop is about $300 cheaper than the MacBook Pro 15inch. The resolution is higher than the one on the MacBook Pro. This laptop also has more USB ports than the MacBook Pro. The weight is identical to the MacBook Pro at 4.4 pounds. In terms of battery life I get about 7 hours with light browsing and the brightness on the second lowest settings. The MacBook Pro does get more battery life at 9 hours and the MacBook Pro ssd drive is pci based which makes it faster than this dell laptop. Personally I have a lot software, games and accessories invested with windows, so none of these would work with the MacBook Pro unless i installed windows on it. The keyboard and trackpad are very easy to type on. The speakers do a decent job for listening to music, watching videos or playing games. The screen...

Dell Inspiron 14R i14RMT-7500sLV 14-Inch Touchscreen Laptop (Moon Silver)

Actual Dell Inspiron 14R i14RMT-7500sLV 14-Inch Touchscreen Laptop (Moon Silver) review from user.
Nice little machine
I purchased this machine for an associate and set it up for them. My first real experience with a touch-screen machine and the setup/data transfer went well and as expected.

The only point I would make is that I prefer NOT to have anti-virus software pre-installed on a machine. Most of the time the manufacturer's choice is not what I want. This forces me to remove the installed security software so I can install the one I consider a better choice.

Some Misgivings
I've been researching laptops for over a year, overwhelmed by all the options (like kid cereal at the grocery store). I finally decided on this Dell, specifically this 7500sLV 14" touchscreen (there is a 7501 model). The 7500 seems like a good laptop, but I have a couple of gripes. I saw a review of the 7501 where the customer complained he has a missing pixel. Well I do as well on this model, but it's not a huge issue. But also I'm not really impressed with the highest res being so low-the standards have risen significantly but Dell doesn't provide those resolutions on this laptop. Even my 10 year old Sony Vaio had much higher res options. This can be a big deal for me, so I have until Monday to decide to keep it or return it. Windows obviously had to be upgraded to 8.1, but I'm finding the touch screen on certain internet apps doesn't respond well. Sometimes I have to touch or tap 2 or 3 times to get it to respond, even though I adjusted the touch sensitivity. I can get over...

Good price
Had a bit of a challenge setting it up but a call to Dell quickly resolved it. Windows 8 is new to me and that is taking a bit of practice, but all in all I'm quite satisfied.

Dell Inspiron 15 i15RV-6144BLK 15.6-Inch Touchscreen Laptop (Black Matte with Textured Finish)

Actual Dell Inspiron 15 i15RV-6144BLK 15.6-Inch Touchscreen Laptop (Black Matte with Textured Finish) review from buyer.
Touch-screen, Easily Upgradeable, Looks Good, Feels Solid
Likes:
- The black textured plastic finish is very nice, and is used as top-side panels (top cover, palm rest). I like this better than the two-tone metallic finish since it looks more integrated, more business-like, and less as a "tack-on" like the metallic sheet accents in the 15RM. It also means the side and bottom plastic isn't a silver painted variety, but a hard ABS plastic that when scratched, will stay the same color and harder to detect. In my opinion, it is more practical and unpretentious, and the textured finish makes it no less aesthetically appealing--and in my opinion more so--than the metallic trim edition.

- Windows 8 is apparently a very touch-centric OS. I suspect that may have caused some initial complaints and awkwardness with mouse and keyboard users (myself included). Having a touch screen really alters the experience. It's really more like a tablet with a keyboard than a PC with touch screen. In that sense, it is also more intuitive for users...

Perfect Everyday Computing
This laptop really packs a punch! It will do all of the web surfing, email, itunes, music, etc that you can throw at it! I've even done a little low end gaming and a little video editing on it and it even works smoothly for that! I'm gonna try to touch a little on each aspect of the laptop and how it has performed to me so far..

Webcam

Pretty Solid, It appears to be better than the iPhone cameras and my old laptop one, or so say my callers :P

Hard Drive

Nice and speedy, is not a 7200rpm though but I'm sure people don't move copious amounts of data on their laptops though.

DVD Burner

No blanks, burns fast and isn't as annoyingly loud as my previous laptops drive.

Media Card Reader

A great feature to have, It works and no more draining my cameras battery life in order to get pics off of it!

Processor

Is a new Core i3 dual core and this beats my old laptops core2duo hands down...

Nicely done
Being a Windows 8 hater really forced me to carefully choose a laptop for a friend as Win7 laptops are sparse and usually only the over priced models are available.

With that said, this laptop has a touch screen, which is pretty much required to make the best use of Win8, it has the ivy bridge processor which is best for power management. Some laptops in this price range don't have DVD/CD players in them but this one does.

It worked perfectly out of the box, is fast, and allows Win8 to achieve its greatest potential.

Good solid option. Overall a really nice productive laptop with solid components and performance. Screen is only con.

A Winner from Dell
I have a mixed relationship with Dell laptops. I have been using or helping those who are using Dell laptops since about 2004. They had a great build quality then, great service and prices. But, it seems that Dell goes up and down in quality as the years past. You never know if you're buying during a lemon year (2008) or a great year (2006). I note those years because those are specific laptops. My wife had one from late 2008 and it was constantly causing problems. Constantly crashing, restarting, freezing. It was always a bother, even with lots of attention. Finally died entirely early last year.

On the other side, I got a laptop in very early 2007. Still use it. I've replaced some parts here and there, like the touchpad and keyboard and LED screen. But, it keeps on ticking. Works great. We got a Dell Desktop in 2010 and it works great.

So I want to like Dell, but I've known others who have mixed stories like we do, and so I'm cautious.

Dell...

Good laptop, but keep your options open for an ultraportable
This is a very good laptop, and overall nice parts overweight its issues. However the price is approaching ultraportable levels, so the choice is not a clear cut one.

First the things I liked:
- The touch input actually works. The combination of the touch screen, with the trackpad makes both local movements (like scrolling), and targeted movements (like closing a window) very easy to perform. The Dell configuration application is very useful for this purpose. Yet, I should say that I could not get some of the trackpad gestures working.

- There is actually little "crapware" installed on the system. I only needed to uninstall the antivirus, and some Intel drives (you would not need RAID on a laptop). This is of course if you like the installed OS that comes with the system.

- Overall performance is very good, the boot speed is fast, and applications rarely slow down. The only thing I would recommend - after switching the antivirus program - is...

Update: I upgraded the RAM on this computer using two Crucial single 8GB DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) notebook modules, CT102464BF160B. The computer immediately recognized the new memory, doubling the OEM 8GB installation. I am not, however, a fan of the captive screws that hold the memory cover in...

This laptop lives a crowded part of the laptop market vying for your attention (and your next major technology purchase budget!).

While I can't yet address its long term performance and reliability, the initial performance of this laptop has been flawless in all of the typical tasks I ask of my notebook computers: office productivity applications, digital image manipulation, light video rendering/editing , online activities and music library management. I'm not a gamer, so can't address this aspect of its capability.

Awesome Professional Laptop
Everything is as per my expectation.. It is really nice touch screen experience with this laptop.

Following features I liked most :
1. Configuration (i7 processor, 8GB RAM, 1 TB HDD)
2. Touch Screen
3. Sound and picture Quality
4. Keyboard (Keys are really smooth to work)
5. 15.6" screen to watch movies (Its better to be big)
and last but not the least the DELL LAPTOP.

However it is little bit heavy ,so if u have to carry it every time , please check the weight first.

Heavy Duty
My husband's old laptop was so slow, he really needed a new one. I wasn't sure how he'd like Windows 8 with a touchscreen, though. He's a real Luddite. Vista was good enough for him, which is why I'm surprised he took so quickly to this Dell Inspiron. I'm using it right now to write this review, but I pretty much have to wrestle it away from him.

I'm impressed with the ease of switching back and forth between touchscreen, keyboard, and touchpad. That's the beauty of Windows 8. I couldn't see it before, but now it's all clear. Windows 8 was made for touchscreens. That's the one place it shines.

This is a heavy laptop for sure, but it has everything anyone needs to make it a primary computer:

+ 4 USB ports
+ 1 DVD drive
+ 1 HDMI port
+ 1 Ethernet port
+ 1 8-in-1 card reader
+ Wi-Fi capable
+ long battery life (about six hours, compared to 1 hour on his old laptop)

Heavy duty is the word, and that's what my...

Actual Dell Inspiron 17 i17RV-8273BLK 17.3-Inch Laptop (Black) review from user.
Pleased beyond pleased!
This laptop and system is so easy to use. I've been using a four year old Acer netbook to check emails, etc., so imagine my delight at the ease of transition to this more sophisticated piece of electronics! Shipping through Prime was next day, and BTW, this same computer at WalMart online was $50.00 more than Amazon's price.

best laptop purchase I've made!
i always research every product i purchase and this one was ranked extremely high in the most affordable price range. the screen is huge weight of the laptop is amazing and much lighter than a previous Dell i own. it's very quiet and doesn't get hot like other laptops are prone to do.

Computer is Great - Windows Operating system Terrible
I would have given this computer 5 stars except for two things:
1. It was not packaged well- but thank GOD it did not get damaged.
2. The operating system - Windows 8 - is just horrible.

The laptop itself is attractive and sturdy. The computer is fairly quick and the colors/graphics are vivid. It's not for gaming - but it wasn't needed for that.
The problem is with the operating system of Windows 8 - which works like a "smart phone." It's all about "apps" - and is annoying beyond belief, not what my husband wanted in a laptop computer. (I purchased this as a Christmas gift for him.)
Suffice it to say he's learning to use it, but does not love it.

I DO recommend the computer itself because the price is reasonable and it's great for internet searching, social media and email. But come hell or high water, try with all your might to get a different version of windows, or you'll live to regret it!

Great Great Great
I am using it to post this review.
This is my first laptop, the learning curve easing up and I am getting use to using a keyboard to do everything.
I'm not a computer guru or familiar with laptops in general but do have a fair amount of knowledge in everyday computing needs and desires. I like to test software functionality on and armature diy status.
It is fast, reliable, fun and has enough goodies to keep me occupied for a long time to come.
Not sure if any of this helps but if you understand the specs you know what you are getting.
I have had No Problems with this unit but have only had it for a week or so, purchased refurbished.

Dell Latitiude E6410 Laptop
Very nice laptop, solid construction, great condition, but it came with Windows 7 HP instead of 7 Professional, but after talking with the seller, they sent me the 7 Professional disk and I installed it without much of a hassle. The laptop is very fast, but even faster after installing a Solid State Drive.

Super nice.
This is a fantastic laptop for the money. I love it! The condition was very good, only a minor spot or two. Overall, 2 thumbs up!

Dell XPS 11 XPS11-9231CFB 11.6-Inch Convertible 2 in 1 Touchscreen Laptop

Actual Dell XPS 11 XPS11-9231CFB 11.6-Inch Convertible 2 in 1 Touchscreen Laptop review from user.
Had high hopes, but your results may vary.
First off -- The general description and details/shipping for this listing are off. It obviously doesn't weigh 5.5 lbs and shipping weight can't be 1 lb. :-) The device is 2.5 lbs on its own and the shipping wt is likely the 5 lb figure with power supply and packaging.

3.5 stars is what I'd really prefer to post at this time. It's better than okay and I like it, but...
My initial experience with this unit (i5/4G/128G model, direct from Dell) was mostly positive. The build quality is excellent and screen resolution is great, but things went a bit downhill during my first 30 days. Here's my cons list with details.

"Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered.
Intel HD Graphics driver."
This problem occurs randomly upon wake-up after the screen powers off due to sleep mode.
Upgrading the driver from Dell's support site has no effect. Upgrading from Intel's driver site doesn't work ("you must obtain driver from your unit manufacturer...

This sets the standard for high end convertible laptops!
I ordered the XPS 11 direct from the Dell website, and have been using it now for four days. I had been using a Lenovo Yoga 11s for three weeks, but will be sending it back for a refund. Here's why.

The Dell XPS 11 is more expensive. I upgraded to the 256gb SSD and paid $1,249. This is about $400 more than the Yoga 11s, and most of the other internal specs are identical, including a Core i5 processor, and 4gb of memory. The reasons for justifying the increased price are twofold.

First, the display on the XPS 11 is simply the best currently available. It is true QHD, with a resolution of 2560X1440. Worth noting is the fact that the Google Chrome web browser (when installed on the desktop) runs flawlessly. This has been a well noted compatibility issue with other QHD displays, including the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro.

Second, the build quality and form factor of the XPS 11 is by far superior. The XPS 11 is made from carbon fiber and machined aluminum. These...

Fast Laptop but Movie Picture Quality is a Let Down
I really love this xps 11. It's fast, well-built, flexible, keyboard layout is superb, back-lit keyboard, very light, and absolutely gorgeous. I had no problem working on excel, word, and multiple windows open - without a hiccup. My biggest disappointment is the picture quality when watching a movie - it is pretty dim. I adjusted the colors and brightness but it still subpar (My sony pro 11, which is 1440p) has a much better picture quality than this. I also called Dell tech support for assistance but there was no improvement. I don't if I got a lemon but I am going to return this. I will purchase the Lenovo Yoga pro 2 as it's picture quality is amazingly clear and crisp. If you don't often watch movies on your laptop, I highly recommend the xps 11 - it's one superb machine

Super fast shipping!
I was very worried about getting this laptop since there were no reviews, it was my first time buying an electronic so expensive online, and didnt know much about the seller, but i took a chance and im so happy i did. The computer was very protected, and runs very smooth, is 46 dollars cheaper than Walmart! Only thing i can mention is that the Ram memory says usable only 7, seems that some ram is dedicated for graphics, they should have more info about specifications of the product. We have the laptop since a day ago, and I hope there are no problems in the future. I love Dell products! color is fantastic!

Worth it
I think the price is really worth it for everything that this PC brings. It works really good, fluid and fast. The computer's color is darker on the picture than on real life, but still beautiful anyway. (real life is more kind of pink)

++:
Perfect condition (well protected)
Fast shiping to Canada
Exactly as describe (good computer for those who needs lots of GB, good graphics and evytg. Running well and have a good battery life.)

--:
No LED Keybord
Windows 8 (not userfriendly that much)
The ammount of extra $$ for the USA to Canada not mention when you order

I surely think it's a good choice for the price I payed. I enjoy it ! Thank you !

It's a Dell
Have always liked Dell and this one hasn't let me down or changed my mind. The shipping was super fast, in fact it arrived when the tracking showed it had just arrived from the warehouse.

Pros:
Lightweight
Excellent battery life and quick to full charge
Full size keyboard
Price
Cons:
Has Windows 8
AMD A8 processor - don't like them much since they tend to run hotter.

Dell Inspiron i15RV-3763BLK 15.6-Inch Laptop

Actual Dell Inspiron i15RV-3763BLK 15.6-Inch Laptop review from customer.
Great laptop for a great price.
This laptop in an incredible machine for the price that I paid. As listing all of the pro's of this laptop would take a lot longer than listing the cons, lets just skip to the bad stuff. It's a black laptop, so the grease on your fingers is visible on it. A previous review stated that the left click on the touchpad was too loud. I agree completely. If you're going to play Cookie Clicker in church, people will look at you funny. Other than that, there have been no downsides whatsoever. The onboard chipset runs all of the games that I play at acceptable framerates (Dota 2 on low runs at about 45fps steadily). I multi-task, browse the internet, play games, write reports, draw up spreadsheets, all at the same time. No slowdown, no nonsense. I would definitely recommend this laptop, and in fact I already have.

Perfect for Non-Gamer
I bought this for my mom. It has Windows 8 which worried me a little, but it was actually easy to set up. The best part of this computer is that it has a USB3 port & also has a DVD-RW drive. A lot of the cheaper laptops don't come with a DVD/CD drive, making installing old software impossible. This allowed me to install software I already owned (Office & Photoshop) without having to purchase new copies from the cloud! I gave the computer to my mom for Xmas and had all of the software that she would need installed, showed her how to customize the layout and she's off and running. Still not a fan of Windows 8, but a fan of the computer overall :)

Great Value
For the price I got (350) this laptop has all the specs i need to be successful in college and maybe beyond.

In my first couple days, my only complaint is the loud mouse button....

Actual Dell Inspiron 15R i15RMT-12441sLV 15.6-Inch Touchscreen Laptop (Moon Silver) review from customer.
Good Laptop despite Windows 8
I purchased this laptop a couple of days ago as a replacement for an older Dell Inspiron 1525. So far, I’ve had good luck with Dell computers and have previously purchased six of them (5 for grandkids). This laptop appears to be constructed with quality parts. The screen hinges are firm and the keyboard is well made. The touch screen works fine. The only CON for me on the keyboard is that it has a numbers keypad. That squeezes the rest of the keyboard into a smaller space. I don’t use a keypad so it’s wasted space. But that’s my fault. It was listed as a feature and I ordered it.

Windows 8 (would get 2 stars) is another story.. You read about the learning curve but don’t realize how much until you start using the computer. I think all of the features of previous versions of Windows are there…. But sometimes, they are hard to find. One of the add-ons that I found is called “Classic Shell”. That gives you quick...

Love It
This is a plain & simple review as I am not a computer expert & still type with 2 fingers.
I mainly wanted a new laptop for following language courses so wanted one that had a good processor.
Took me a little while to get used to windows 8 but definitely an improvement when I downloaded 8.1. Then I added Microsoft Works Task launcher, office word & excel, I also still like to use a mouse more often than touching the screen for leaving finger marks.
The processing speed is fantastic so for any Facebook gameplay, downloading films etc so quick. VFM

I gave Dell a third chance and it let me down again
For a laptop with the latest generation i7 and 16Go RAM, it was slow. The space key was stuck at first and it had a dead pixel right in the middle of the screen. I have had Dells in the past and a friend recommended to me this model, but I returned it the morning after. Avoid it!

Dell Inspiron 15 i15RV-6190BLK 15.6-Inch Laptop (Black Matte with Textured Finish)

Actual Dell Inspiron 15 i15RV-6190BLK 15.6-Inch Laptop (Black Matte with Textured Finish) review from customer.
Good value
As a college student on a budget, I really needed a computer that would do many tasks on the road without hurting the wallet. I have a prehistoric 7-8 year old Dell Dimension E510 desktop that is super slow. So, I made the decision to buy a laptop under $400 yet still faster than my desktop.
I set my eyes on this laptop from a local electronics store. I compared specs, from the size and weight, to the nitty features like the number of USBs. And so, here I have it.

Let's start off with the design.
The design of this notebook is, well, plastic. However, it isn't cheap plastic. The materials used are actually pretty good for its price point. The notebook is nice and rounded around the corners and the thickness of this notebook is about one inch. Now, most notebooks for this price point would be much thicker...Around 1.3in-1.4in, but Dell managed to squeeze everything in 1 inch. This is pretty darn good considering the tools this notebook provides. On the left side of...

A Lot of Features for the Money - But NOT a Roadwarrior
I purchased this computer to use just with my Samsung Smart TV - (because the television internet interface is just so slow in performance) Please keep this in mind when looking at my four star rating and review comments.

I will get the "not so good" stuff out of the way first. The "fit and finish" of the computer overall is pretty good, not great but not poor. The keyboard platform piece appears to sit down into the bottom case with a VERY noticeable lip edge that is a bit sharp. As the wrist rest space when using the keyboard is really large (a plus) the edge is not right on the wrist area and so far has not been a problem; I later just stood the computer on edge with the screen hinged open and used an emery board to smooth the edge.

I wish the screen had a indent or latch to use in the middle, the lid closes nice and tight, but without having something to grab onto the inclination is to just use one corner of the lid/screen to open it up, as the spring...

Perfect for its price.
First of all, I bought this at best buy, paid 329.98 with tax added. It is very thin for a budget laptop. Yes its made out of the same hard crappy plastic all american car interiors had a few years back, yes it doesn't have the fastest processor, and can get dirty but you have to remember that you're not paying much.

With that out the way, its a pretty awesome laptop. Using the blue tooth, I can hook up my phone to the laptop and play music from my phone using the speakers on my laptop, no cables necessary. I can be in another room and start playing music on my laptop. It has two usb 3.0 ports so putting music/videos into my phone is fast. While it doesnt have the most powerful processor it's not slow. Windows8 is made to run smooth on even budget laptop (though it might get sluggish from time to time for the most part its really fast.

Using the built in HDMI port I connected the laptop to my 55inch 1080p hd tv and using an app called WIFI Mouse HD, i could use...

Dell Latitude D830 Core 2 Duo 16-Inch laptop, (2.2Ghz processor, 2GB RAM, 120GB Hard Drive, windows os)

Actual Dell Latitude D830 Core 2 Duo 16-Inch laptop, (2.2Ghz processor, 2GB RAM, 120GB Hard Drive, windows os) review from customer.
This Has Been A Reliable Laptop
We bought our Dell Latitude D830 in April of 2008 and have never had any sort of problem with it. It has always done the job required of it without any difficulties at all and worked perfectly right out of the box.

Admittedly we have not been a heavy user of the D830 and mostly use it around the house when we need some freedom to do our work somewhere other than our home offices. It has not been exposed to extremes of temperature and has not been dropped or otherwise subjected to abuse.

It has wireless access to our Ethernet network and provides the flexibility we desired when we bought it. When taken out of the house for some special projects it did its job properly.

This is one of two Dells we have along with an HP desktop and has probably needed less attention to keep it working right than any other computer we have.

Wonderful for normal day to day things.
This laptop has been so reliable for 2-3 years now. I got this lap top from my step dad when his work upgraded their laptops (they still use dell) and i had some issues at first but it was just windows. The processor could be a little faster but its still good.

Now for gaming. Important-------> THIS COMPUTER WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO WATCH SD VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE AND WONT BE ABLE TO PLAY MOST GAMES! But this does support windows 7 areo 64bit or 32bit but wont suport vista areo for some reason.

This is a great laptop for work or normal internet browsing like on Facebook.

Proud owner of a Dell.

Dell D830 - Reliable Workhorse
My configuration is:

Intel Centrino Processor, NVidia Quadro NVS 135M Video, Wired / Wireless Ethernet, 4 GB Memory, 160 GB HD, CD/DVD RW.

I've been using it about 3 - 4 years now. With a 3 year warranty, the only problem I ever had (to be expected) was the hard drive going bad. I replaced it for free near the end of my warranty.

I'm running dual boot:

Windows XP / Linux Mint 9 LXDE

I spend more time in Linux Mint 9 LXDE than I do in Windows.

When I'm not in Linux Mint 9 LXDE, I'm either test booting Linux Distros from CD / DVD, using Sun VirtualBox to boot test downloaded ISOs, or creating or booting from Linux USB.

I've run just about every version of Ubuntu from version 9 up to / through version 10, Linux Mint (HIGHLY recommended - light on resources, user friendly): CrunchBang, Knoppix, Fedora 14, Puppy Linux, GeexBox, ZorinOS, Back-Box (Network Diagnostics, Network Security Toolkit also run without a...

This Dell Inspiron has everything you will need from a laptop
Dell Inspiron i17RV-3640BLK 17.3-Inch Laptop is a great laptop for under $600 and free 2-day shipping for Amazon Prime members. I was in the market for a great laptop and this one definitely fits the bill. This laptop is lightweight and thinner than previous versions of the Dell Inspiron. Once you boot up this device you will notice right away the sharp images this laptop can display. The screen is large (17.3") and will allow you to do anything you could do on a desktop. The screen displays at 900p (1600 x 900 ) HD. This laptop is filled with many more great features. I have listed a few that I felt were important for you to know before making a purchase. They are as follows:

* Processor: 1.7 GHz Core i3-4010U
* Display: 17.3 inch LED Backlit Display (The screen is crystal clear, on par with any TV out there)
* Memory (RAM): 4 GB DDR3
* Storage (hard drive): 500 GB (More than enough space)
* Optical Drive: Tray load DVD Drive

Again I think...

great product
I'm in IT and purchased this for a friend...this was a great deal, and came just as described. All the software was authentic, and the system had been thoroughly cleaned. I was a bit hesitant to buy an older and used laptop, but it's been cranking for 6 months with no problems.

worth the money
It had some problem with a video card driver(or something like that)so I had to send it back. Just a few days later I got it back and it works great. I love it. Also the people at Tampa laptops are real nice and helpful.

Dell Latitude D630 + Windows 7 notebook laptop computer

Actual Dell Latitude D630 + Windows 7 notebook laptop computer review from user.
Used Dell Latitude
This was purchased from Tampa-Laptops thru Amazon; and my wife is totally delighted with this unit. Just like her old one but a big jump in hardware. This arrived quickly; and was very clean with no scratches on the screen or on the face side of the unit. It looks and performs like a brand new unit. I Highly reccommend these folks if you are looking for a new laptop.

Overall great deal
Update 1: You can read the below first but I do have something to add. When I first called Tampa Laptops, I asked about the BIOS because I was having a hard time restoring and was told that there really was no need to update BIOS. The laptop was shipped with BIOS version A09 and the current versions are A17 and A18. I have been having issues with the memory giving errors in diagnostic tests therefore the performance was not so good. I read every BIOS revision and one of them dealt with the way the DELL recognizes memory so I figured before buying RAM and paying to get it installed (since it's under the keyboard), I would update the BIOS. I updated without a problem and the memory is now recognized by the system so all is well.

Update 2. After upgrading BIOS and downloading the updated drivers from the DELL site, the computer works very well. I use it daily and have many windows open with no issue. I am going to replace the hard drive with a 7200 rpm or hybrid solid...

Great Laptop
This was originally a top shelf laptop by Dell. With the refurb by Tampa Laptops it is again. High quality upgrades. Great value. Brand new appearance and function. Very well packaged and shipped. Definitely made my 12 year old daughter happy.

Dell Latitude E6400 Laptop

Actual Dell Latitude E6400 Laptop review from buyer.
Solid system, truly portable
I've owned my Dell Latitude E6400 for about six months now, and have been working with it almost daily -- running a bunch of web development and graphics editing software. Have not had any issues with this laptop that would make me regret buying it, overall -- very positive experience. The performance is solid, I had Win XP Pro on it, and now upgraded to Win 7 Pro, and it runs like a charm! The battery life is very good (I have a 9-cell battery) -- the longeste I've kept the laptop running non-stop is 4 hours, and never needed to plug back in; the screen size (14") is a good balance for travel and working in comfort. The built-in wireless adapted sometimes needs to be restarted (there is a switch on the side -- turn it on and off to restart the wireless, not a big deal at all), but I only noticed that this needs to be done after the system comes out of hibernation. I bought this laptop with a deep discount (it was refurbished by Dell), had some reservations at the time of...

Finally backlit keyboard
This is pretty much configuartion that I got and performance is pretty good with this laptop.
Lighted keyaboard had an impact on decission when I decided to buy this laptop and it is really nice and usefull feature that I was looking some time for it.

Pros:
- Very stable, no reboots and doesn't get frozen even when moving/shaking it
- Good metal construction --> no flexing
- Good set of connection slots for perrifferrals
- Backlit keyboard
- Very bright screen but not the best color rendering
- e-SATA external connector
- Internal Intel wireless 5300 AGN WiFi card is excellent

Cons:
- LCD display is somewhat washed out although very bright
- It gets very hot even just browsing internet after relatively brief period. Poor ventilation.
- Somewhat heavy for its size
- Average battery life (little bit over 3hr of usage when just browsing internet via WiFi with standard battery)
- Proprietary HDMI...

Simply Splendid
Shipped w/i 3 days. 3-4 hour battery life depending on what you have running. Can dual boot operating systems (I have linux and windows 7). Can play low end games like minecraft/FATE/Half Life really well. Runs extremely fast as long as you don't overload it with too many processes.etc. Doesn't come with web cam. Ram, cpu, HDD are all upgradeable!!! Buy it you wont regret it!!!

Dell Inspiron 15 i15RVT-13287BLK 15.6-Inch Touchscreen Laptop (Black)

Actual Dell Inspiron 15 i15RVT-13287BLK 15.6-Inch Touchscreen Laptop (Black) review from customer.
Fits our needs perfectly.
Great laptop at a great price...we shopped for several weeks comparing models and prices and believe this model to be a great buy. Sams has a different model that came in second place in our comparison and it had a larger HDD but was last generation of processor and was about $75 less expensive. We felt the newer processor was worth the additional cost and less HDD was not an issue with the price of external HDD being low. Google differences in the processors and several reports will come up going to great lenghts why each generation is better than the last.

The laptop itself is bigger than I had expected. The texture of the outside is bumpy kinda of a faux carbon fiber look. The laptop has a 10 key pad and is touch screen. The screen is very responsive...almost too much! Windows 8 is new for us and was a challenge getting started but after 15-20 minutes you can figure out just about everything you need. Laptop connects wirelessly to our network blazingly...

Perfect size for the price
I purchased this computer after doing a small amount of research, but the good review on this product sold me. With that in mind here is my experience. I had a Dell laptop for 7-8 years that worked great. It had outlived it's life so I was looking to replace. Since I had such great luck with my last Dell, it was only natural I would lean this direction. I work on a Dell all day at work, but windows 8 was new to me. I do, however, use an Iphone, so the transition was not difficult at all. You can delete windows you don't want, pin websites to your windows, move your windows around in the order you want, just like your phone. I found the adjustment rather easy. I hear from my programming buddies it is a whole different ball game, but if you are a point and click person , like me, you probably wont have any issues. I was able to download my ITunes account and was playing music in minutes. This laptop connects quickly to my wifi and I was able to play my FB games, pay bills,...

Best bargain for the Year!!!
Touchscreen, powerful processor, 6GB RAM....Windows 8.1!!.. sweet laptop for the price!! I wish I has bought more!! and Dell honours its warranty and offers warranty transfers too

Dell Inspiron 17R i17RM-5162sLV 17.3-Inch Laptop (Moon Silver)

Actual Dell Inspiron 17R i17RM-5162sLV 17.3-Inch Laptop (Moon Silver) review from buyer.
Excellent
This Dell replaces a 3 year old HP Pavillion dv7. Overall, this Dell is a nice laptop. The core i5 is pretty fast. The 1T drive is huge and there is plenty of RAM. The hard drive is a Western Digital... I have had issues with WD in the past, so I will have to see how long this drive lasts.

Windows 8 is growing on me, although I mainly use the Desktop interface. There is no Start Button in Windows 8, but you can make your own. Here is how:
- Right click the Task Bar
- Select Toolbar -> New toolbar...
- In the File Chooser dialog that appears, Navigate to "C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuPrograms" and click the Select Folder button

You'll now has a pseudo start button.

UPDATE: 2013-11-28

Just a note regarding backups. I ran into an issue after a few weeks after upgrading to 8.1. You can Google the issue, but the problem was that I could no longer create images of the hard drive using the built in Backup...

This Dell Inspiron has everything you will need from a laptop
Dell Inspiron 17R i17RM-5162sLV 17.3-Inch Laptop is a great laptop for only $629 dollars.

• Processor: 4th Gen Intel

Great laptop
Love this laptop - perfectly fits my needs. Only issue is that sometimes it freezes up and I have to restart it - but doesn't happen too frequently. Powerful, light, and flexible.

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series 15.6" Touch-Screen LCD Laptop with 4th Generation Intel Core i7 Processor 8GB Memory 1TB Hard Drive Windows 8 Webcam Wireless

Actual Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series 15.6" Touch-Screen LCD Laptop with 4th Generation Intel Core i7 Processor 8GB Memory 1TB Hard Drive Windows 8 Webcam Wireless review from buyer.
Best Value, Very Satisfied.
I was looking for a new laptop after my Lenovo, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air crashed and/or froze one me multiple times. I decided to go with Windows because Apple seemed very unreliable for the money I was shelling out. I found this Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series at Best Buy, and picked it up after returning 2 other laptops that were defective from HP and Asus. I also wanted a traditional hard drive because I'm still not convinced that SSD's are reliable, considering my past computers from Dell with traditional hard drives never failed.

The Good: The laptop keyboard, which others might complain about, is fast for me because I have smaller hands. The low profile, low feedback keys allow me to type so much faster than I normally do... maybe 10 wpm higher than my normal typing speed. I love it. The Touchscreen is also icing on the cake. The battery life gets about 6-7 hours with light use. And even though it's been only a couple of weeks, it has been reliable, which is...

Amazing Computer
This computer is the best computer I have ever used and owned. The speed is fast enough to keep up with daily tasks and some light gaming, hardcore gaming would not really be appropriate on it. Everything about the computer has surpassed my expectations; Display, speakers, battery life, etc... Right now I am able to open up about 15 tabs in google chrome and run 5-10 apps without a problem. I haven't really pushed it as far as I can yet but this is definitely more than enough for the average user. The battery life is about 5-8 hours depending on how you use it thanks to the low energy processor. It does sacrifice some speed for the ability to use less power but I think its perfect. The display is very crisp and bright but I have heard complaints about it being hard to see in bright sunlight. I could see that being true but I don't normally use my computer outside. There are complaints about the keyboard's feel, I don't notice anything that bothers me. The keys do have slightly less...

Beautiful, Sleek, and Thin
I like the design, it's very nice laptop, but you should know that it's more of a notebook computer which is why it looks so sleek and thin, because of this, it does not come with a DVD/CD drive. If you want to play DVD's and burn CD's, I recommend a different laptop. I was looking for a computer with a sleek design that's why I bought this one. I really learned to love it! I wasn't too particularly fond of touch screen laptops, but now I can't believe I lived without it, it really comes in handy when you're scrolling.

Anyway, there is a minor glitch after the Windows 8.1 update: If you connect your laptop to your TV through via HDMI, the image is great but the audio is not. For some reason the Laptop doesn't detect the display audio input and so the audio only comes through the laptop speakers instead of the TV. This only happened after I updated to Windows 8.1. I found a fix though. Before turning on your laptop, connect the computer to your TV (make sure your TV is on...

Dell Inspiron 15 i15RV-6190BLK 15.6-Inch Laptop (Black Matte with Textured Finish)

Actual Dell Inspiron 15 i15RV-6190BLK 15.6-Inch Laptop (Black Matte with Textured Finish) review from user.

Dell Inspiron 17.3-Inch Laptop (i17RV-5457BLK)

Actual Dell Inspiron 17.3-Inch Laptop (i17RV-5457BLK) review from buyer.
So far so good but...
I just got the machine and loaded the basic software I need to use with it. It runs fine so far. However, You should know that the textured-looking surface isn't printed on the computer. The surface actually is textured. So far, my cat hasn't tried to sharpen her claws on it, but...fingers crossed.

UPDATE: I've had it for a week now and am pretty pleased with it. I failed to note in my original review what you don't get that you do get on many other laptops. There is no video out port other than the HDMI port. There is also no ExpressCard slot which is how you'd normally be able to add, for example, FireWire capability. You can forget that. This is probably not a major problem for most people, but you should know.

Dell Inspiron 15R i15RM-5125sLV 15.6-Inch Laptop (Moon Silver)

Actual Dell Inspiron 15R i15RM-5125sLV 15.6-Inch Laptop (Moon Silver) review from customer.
A good laptop for home
It's a light weight fully functional laptop having a full size keyboard and CD drive. Sturdy in construction and good performance. Though knew it before buying, the only low performers are the screen resolution, OS (Win8) and not quite sure how good is the battery. Windows8 is optimized for touch screen but this is a non touch one, some times annoying with the screen gestures.

Great Buy
This is the third 15R laptop I have gotten. I'm no computer expert but these seem to be a great buy for a dependable laptop.

good laptop. liked it
big enough (Actually screen is much bigger than what i thought it would be )
keys area bit small .. having them bit bigger would have helped easier typing
